ChoZan’s survey of Chinese warehouse AMR and AGV vendors, including Geekplus, Hai Robotics, Quicktron, ForwardX Robotics, Hikrobot and Megvii, finds that the machines themselves are converging on similar capability, so competitive edge is shifting to service networks, spare-parts availability and integration support in the markets these vendors are trying to enter. That is a bottleneck to watch rather than a technology story.

Autonomous freight is showing firmer commercial traction. TechCrunch reports Uber is widening its network of self-driving partners, with a June 2026 plan to extend Aurora’s autonomous truck routes beyond the existing Dallas-Houston lane carried on Uber Freight. Route expansion, rather than pilot announcements, is the signal that autonomous trucking is edging past demonstration status.

Supply chain advisers are converging on a similar message. StockIQ, SupplyChainWizard, Deloitte and Group O each frame robotics and RPA as central to building more resilient operations, with Deloitte specifically urging leaders to assess where autonomous robots fit now rather than delay. None of this reads as hype so much as a shared caution that ad hoc adoption underperforms deliberate strategy.

Early-stage capital is also reaching into less conventional robotics niches. Rollo Robotics has taken a pre-seed round of roughly 3.7 million euros for street-patrol machines positioned between humanoid robots and robot dogs, while RISE Robotics is pursuing a Wefunder community round to electrify heavy machinery for ports and warehouse handling. Both are worth tracking as tests of investor appetite outside the core logistics-automation trade, with public-safety robotics likely to draw added regulatory scrutiny as it moves from announcement to rollout.
